AmEx Small Business Saturday

Saturday November 27th. Save the date – or at least an hour or two to do a little bit of shopping around town, because American Express will be holding its first ever Small Business Saturday.

Registered cardholders will receive twenty-five dollar credits to their accounts, when they spend twenty-five dollars or more at a small business on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. To register, cardholders must sign up online at SmallBusinessSaturday.com. American Express is not excluding locally owned restaurants from the list of eligible places to spend, so opting for a meal out will earn you the credit as well.

The event is intended to stimulate spending on the local level by benefitting both small business owners and patrons. A statistic shown on the Small Business Saturday page states that 68 out of every 100 dollars spent at a local business will return to the community. The translation is that spending money locally helps the community several-fold, as small business owners often meet their business needs by conducting business with other small enterprises in the community.

So get out there the weekend after Thanksgiving and show your support for the small businesses that are the lifeblood of our municipal economies. And if you’re a small business owner, remember that your local Encharter Insurance agent would like to help you find the best possible business insurance for the best possible price. And don’t forget about our Partners Program for small business where we help you grow your business through social media! Be sure to check us out on Facebook and Twitter for more interesting news.

And remember, at Encharter, “It’s all about protecting you!
