Collect and Protect

We all know people who are collectors or admirers of fine antiques and refurbished pieces. Maybe you even keep a little collection of your own your den or an old dusty shoebox (or 20) in the attic. According to WBZtv’s  Conversation Nation,  it seems that the City Council of Portmouth, NH has a soft spot for bringing back antique pieces as well. It seems as though the Council has just approved of spending a sum of $34,000 (tax dollars) to bring a 60-year-old fire engine back to life for use in parades. Some people feel that the restoration is symbolic of the truck’s historical significance while others feel that the taxpayers’ money should not be used in this way.

If you are a lover of antiques and own a few valuable pieces (artwork, furniture, cars, jewelry) it’s important to contact your local Encharter Insurance agent today to make sure that your items are properly scheduled on your MA Homeowner’s Insurance policy or that they have their own policy (ie.
