- Try to avoid decorative contact lenses, they can cause serious eye injury
- Be sure that your costume and any masks or footwear fit properly. This lowers your risk for trips and falls.
- Flame-resistant materials are best because of the open flames associated with jack-o-lanterns, luminaries and candles. Try to avoid walking near these regardless.
