The funny thing about hiding places is they’re either obvious enough that you’ll remember where they are or genius enough that you’re bound to forget them. But, every now and again you may find a spot that is just so strange and unique that you will remember it for sure! (hopefully…)
At any rate, when you hide a key outside of your home or car, you are taking a risk that if someone else finds that key, they will have a pretty easy time getting into your stuff. Before hiding a key under that rock next to your back door or using some sort of magnet to attach it to the underside of your car, ask yourself whether this is absolutely necessary. Sure it may provide some measure of convenience should you lock yourself out one rainy day but, there are other things to consider as well.
If you are considering going the hide-a-key route (hide at your own risk!), or if you already have, it would be a good idea to talk to your local Encharter Insurance agent about whether or not your property is appropriately covered under your current MA Home Insurance or MA Car Insurance. If not, we want to make sure that you are properly protected in the case of a covered loss! Call us at 888-865-1244 or find us at www.encharter.com.
At Encharter, “It’s all about protecting you!”
