National Preparedness Month is sponsored in September of each year, sponsored by FEMA, (according to Wikipedia), “Preparedness Month encourages Americans to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses, schools, and communities. FEMA’s Ready Campaign educates and empowers Americans to prepare for, and respond to emergencies, including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks.”
Being prepared is something upon which those of us in the Northeast are starting place some greater importance, especially in light of the natural activity here in just a few months: Flooding, Tornadoes, Hurricane, Earthquake.
