Lens Shattering Photography

It was a nail-biting Ryder Cup last week at the Celtic Manor, with Team Europe barely beating Team America with a 14.5 to 13.5 win. Exciting events did not cease to unfold all day, but nothing topped an oddly placed shot by Tiger Woods that put one cameraman right in the action.

Mark Pain, a photographer for British news source The Daily Mail, was in a supposedly safe position when a muffed shot by Tiger sent the ball speeding into his camera. Broken equipment, dirty looks, and embarrassment aside, the freak accident produced one of the greatest pictures of the day, which is spreading across the web at lightning speed. So all you macho football fans out there who claim golf is not a dangerous sport need only speak with Mr. Pain (ironic name, we know) to hear a different side of the story.   To see the picture, click here!
