Protecting You & Your Identity!

For as long as I can remember, my Dad has always told me never to give out any of my personal information and especially not my social security number, even before I knew what that secret number was.

In this day and age it would be almost impossible to not be warned about the hassles and life shattering affects that identity theft can have on a person. There are the basic tips for example, like not sharing your social security number, opening or downloading suspicious files on your computer, or giving your credit card number over the phone.

Honestly, it never really seems like identity theft is something that could happen to you. But, did you know that even though the number of American victims of identity fraud has decreased since 2005, an identity fraud survey report taken by the Better Business Bureau and Javelin Strategy suggests that the financial damage done per victim has increased in that same time.

Fortunately, insurance carriers have decided to do something about it. A new Identity Protection Service is now available through your insurance carrier, simply by asking your local Encharter agent. This service is free and you are not required to file a claim in order to utilize this product.

If you or someone you know is a victim of identity theft, or if you have questions regarding identity theft, please call your local Encharter agent today. Also, if you have any questions about Massachusetts Homeowners Insurance, Massachusetts Car Insurance, Massachusetts Life Insurance or Massachusetts Business Insurance, we’d like to help with that too! You can call us at 888-865-1244, visit our virtual insurance office at www.encharter.com or you can visit our office for insurance in Massachusetts. And now, you can find us on Twitter© and Facebook©!
