So…what’s the deal with Independent Insurance Agents?

When you constantly see the commercials for Insurance Companies that can direct write your Massachusetts Insurance, allow you to “Name your Price” and get your policy quoted and purchased in record time, it may make you wonder, “So…what’s the deal with Independent Insurance Agents?”

Let’s first debunk the common misconception that going to an agent will cost you more; this is not necessarily the case. An independent insurance agent, like Encharter Insurance, has access to multiple carriers that they can shop among to get YOU the best rate possible. Unlike calling a direct writer, you will not be stuck manipulating the tiny details of your policy to get a different rate and therefore not always the best coverage. Not to mention that we do the leg-work!

Plymouth Rock Assurance, for example, is a carrier that can provide competitive rates on Massachusetts Car Insurance, the True Service® Pledge – their promise to “treat you with courtesy, value your time and provide you with prompt, personal attention”, plus added savings and discounts, for example, for combining your Car Insurance with your Home Insurance in Massachusetts.

Additionally, when you go to a local independent insurance agency, like Encharter Insurance, Paul T Murphy Insurance; Smith, Buckley & Hunt Insurance; or Merrimack Valley Insurance, who has your best interest as a top priority, it can make all the difference. Not to mention that when you buy locally, 68 cents stays in the community! Talk about the best of both worlds!
