What would you do? (Especially without Flood Insurance)

On the way into work last Friday morning, one of the radio stations I was listening to was saying, “What would you do if someone told you that a tsunami was going to hit Boston within the hour?” and it’s a good question! What would you do?

As I read, research and watch the news to try to comprehend the damage left by Mother Nature in Japan on March 11, the images and stories show unfathomable devastation. Officials, including Japanese Prime Minister, Naoto Kan “described the triple whammy — the earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear troubles — as Japan’s ‘worst crisis since World War II.’, and if you’ve watched the news for even 5 minutes since Friday, you can understand why.

And while most of us sit here and are just taking in all of the photographs and anecdotes that are being shared of the damage and loss that the Japanese are dealing with, we aren’t really sure what we can do to help. We, at Encharter Insurance, are keeping those affected and those who are selflessly devoting their time and energy to help, in our thoughts and prayers.

Additionally, if you have any questions about MA Flood Insurance or MA Earthquake Insurance, please let us know.  It’s important to be prepared and know about the coverage that you are receiving from your Insurance in Massachusetts so that you know whether you are covered in the case of a loss, big or small.
